Description: 

This study uses a mixed methods approach to assess the impact of implementation of a Planned Care Dashboard in terms of the receipt of quality of care services by patients and the impact on Medical Assistants’ (MA) work. First, a retrospective analysis of EHR data will be conducted during two six month matched periods before and after implementation to determine whether quality of care rates improved as a result of use of the Dashboard. Second, a survey will assess MAs’ perspectives of the Dashboard in terms of usability, learnability, graphic design, navigation, user control, and software flexibility. In addition, a qualitative approach will be taken to understand whether the Dashboard is used as it was intended, whether uptake is uniform across all sites and whether the training on the use of the Dashboard was effective.
