My Phuong is an AmeriCorps member (and soon to be Research Assistant) at the Weitzman Institute. She started at Weitzman in August 2014 and was immediately involved in Quality Improvement and Research projects. Her current research projects include the Abnormal Cancer Screening project, Planned Care Dashboard Qualitative Study, Care Coordination Study, and Project ECHO: Pedi and Adolescent Behavioral Health. Her role in these projects range from research assistant to authoring a paper for publication. Additionally, she works closely with the microsystem in Middletown to provide in quality improvement at the site. Most recently, she assisted the team with their Incident Reporting Project.
She received her bachelor's degree from Colby College in Cell & Molecular Biology/Biochemistry and Classical Civilizations. This is My Phuong's first job post-college. Previously, she worked on campus as the President of the Student Health Educators and Co-chair of the Relay for Life at her college. In the future, she hopes to continue her education in medical school and eventually become a physician for the underserved population.
