Sayali Ghatpande is a Research Assistant at the Weitzman Institute. She graduated from UCONN with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Allied Health Sciences and a minor in Spanish. During her time at UCONN, she was involved in a health education outreach program for Connecticut’s migrant farm worker population. After graduating, she joined Community Health Center, Inc. as an AmeriCorps HealthCorps Navigator working with the Early Detection Program for Breast and Cervical Cancer and was able to continue to work with the migrant farm population. Sayali’s involvement in various initiatives at CHC during her term of service as an AmeriCorps member solidified her aspirations to work in the field of primary care. At Weitzman, Sayali is part of the Triple Play Team, involving the Rewards to Quit and Commit to Quit smoking cessation studies, and the Ginger.io behavioral health study.
